2002 Breedlove C25/RW Custom -SOLD!
For Sale: 2002 Breedlove C25/RW Custom, $SOLD shipped in US.
Constructed in Tumalo, OR. I contacted Breedlove to verify the details and they stated the cost to build the identical guitar today would be $4299. I bought it brand new from a local dealer. It has been played very little and is in close to new condition. I have tried to capture its beauty in the images, but they pictures do not do it justice. The neck is very smooth, silky, and fast. This guitar responds well to a light touch and has amazing tones and sustain. It is very musical and harmonious. Included with the guitar is the factory specified TKL hardshell case. Thought I would add to the description my attempt to describe the sound to an interested party. The guitar is very light and resonant. I would describe the overall character with terms like full, warm, lush, smooth, rich, with lots of sustain. To much sustain could be bad if there is dissonance, but this guitar seems to blend them all in a smooth, clear full sound way. It does sound great with a pick, but is also very responsive and excels at fingerstyle. I play fingerstyle with my nails and the flesh of my fingers thus the action is currently set low. The projection is good and the volume consistent up the neck. To me it is like taking a Taylor, warming up the tone, and adding some Martin bass, then filling in the space between the fundamental notes with a smooth harmonious, lush filler for a full bodied sound. 01/16/2015: Sound Clip of the Breedlove. First time recording so never really did get it sounding as good as the guitar in person, but should give some idea if listening through something better than laptop speakers. Mic is a Shure SM58, about 1 foot away from sound hole at 45 degree angle to the guitar top. All controls were flat, no effects, mic went direct to mixer, then my computer. sound clip
Well, spent part of today learning more about my mixer, recording, setting the gains, microphones & placement etc... A lot to take in...
Anyway, although I think I could do better now on the Breedlove demo, I don't have the gear to make it really good. I do think it gives a fair representation of the type of sound nuances the guitar has...it just sounds so much better in person.... |
