Default Show us your mahogany topped guitar

My 2002 Martin OMC-15 is one of my two guitars that I've had the longest and will never sell. Nice woody tones, perfect for finger style yet can hold its own strumming with or without a pick.

I bought this Collings OM2 almost 7 years ago and it is one of my all time favorites.

What a beauty. I haven't seen a hog topped Collings before.

My NGD Review From May 2016:

I guess I'm the newest member of Club 322, located on Taylor Street. Since the introduction of the Shaded Edge Burst (SEB) 300 Series Taylors, I've had my eye on these babies! With the 2016 addition of Tasmanian Blackwood for the back and sides of the Mahogany top 300 Series models, I pulled the trigger on a 322ce, which I received Friday. I initially put in my order for another guitar of this model from the four on display but right after I did so, the dealer's software loaded another one in the Gallery that was more of what I wanted wood-grain-wise. I immediately called my sales engineer, Chris, and he changed my order to my great relief!

My Taylor 322ce has a nice reddish tint to the top and body and I couldn't be happier with the grain of its tonewoods! The guitar plays well with a nice balanced, smooth and slightly dark tone as would be expected from its Grand Concert size and tonewood combination. As I've mentioned before, I had a 2014 Taylor 812ce 12-Fret that was great in tone and looks but felt cramped for me because of its short-scale and shifted neck into the body configuration. The Taylor 322ce has the short-scale length but with 14-frets clear of the body, the cramped-up feeling is gone and it plays easily and feels comfortable. With EQ set flat on the guitar and Line 6 L2t active PA speaker, the ES2 amplifies well with a nicely balanced and quite natural tone and achieves it with zero effort and knob twisting!

If folks want a nice live-performance-ready guitar that is reasonably priced, I recommend the new 2016 Taylor 322 models.

I came close to buying a Taylor 524. In the hunt for a dread. If they made a 520 with a cutaway, I’d be all over it!

2019 Custom Martin D-1 all flamed mahogany. Still can't get enough of this guitar and still can't believe I fell for a dread!

Yours is the first mahogany top guitar that I've seen paired with something other than mahogany for the back and sides.

I also have a lovely Taylor 322 hog top 14 fret, but this one is getting all the play time.

There really is something inherently satisfying about a plain ol' Martin 15 series guitar.
