He is a pleasure to work with, always taking time to talk or discuss things, despite how many many hours he puts in a day.

I first heard of the Olson guitar when I became a Michael Card fan, then later a Phil Keaggy fan. I've always thought I would really love an Olson, but the price, for now, is out of reach for me. But when I get that last son out of college...

Buying an Olson is like buying a small car, that you can endlessly enjoy, it won't leave you stranded, you won't pay insurance or expensive repairs on it, and still hold its value. Even if it maintains value and you gain utility (jam time) on it, you are still way ahead.

Great pics. I think I enjoy looking at a builder's shop as much as the guitars themselves.

Seems repeat customers get more pics earlier, or is it just the daily phone call that makes the difference? Doesn't really matter that much, I can see mine , but I always try to spot the pink ivory one and it is gone!

Looking great, Keith. Amazing that your's is the only dread in the group. 15 Years ago the SJ would have been the exception.

I noticed that. Jim said most of his first two hundred were dreads and then only 40-50 were dreads since then. I have his #547 1994 dread and it is the best dread I have played. I have high expectations for this one.

I can't stop marveling at Jim's work. It's just unbelievable what he does by himself.

Sure is amazing. And make no mistake about it... he is a working machine, often getting emails from him late late late at night and early early early in the am.

Indeed, they are rare as Jim builds almost everything in the SJ body shape and you can say that it's due to him that the SJ has become popular and duplicated by others.

Keith I think in this batch yours is the only Dread. I am sure Jim himself must be as excited as you to do a dread again.

Best,

Keyshore
