Nice to see I am not the only one who remembers the first super hero: El Kabong. Loved the way he played his guitar. Gave new meaning to "Shredding"

This one kinda resembles Willie Nelson's but for the bizarre pick guards on the low E side of the top and the "strap."

So does the multiple layers of play lists un-needingly dampen the glorious tone this thing must produce ?

It belongs to Brit post-punk singer, Ed Tudor-Pole. He had a UK hit with, Swords Of A Thousand Men, in 1981 but continues performing to this day.
His luthier rebuilt it, putting a new soundboard under the trashed top. Do a search for Fylde Guitars. This is what it looks like now.
