Just curious - is this the batch for the year or does he build two of these "batches" - looks like 24 in a group build?

This is a pretty large batch for Jim....he does usually does 1-2 batches a year. But that many guitars takes a while. He is such an incredibly hard workers, really wanting to make everyone happy.

Man seeing that is like those last few days of your wife being pregnant...WHEN IS IT GOING TO COME!

Is the paua in the rosette the normal width or is it wider than average? The depth of figure in it is perfect. I like the red in that headstock overlay. Can't wait to see the finals.

He has a normal rosette and then he has a wider paua rosette. This is the wider. The guitar is really stunning, I am just dying to get my hands on it!

Keith,
I guess you are pretty successful in getting pictures by calling him every day

Actually, I just told him forget about the pictures, I can get those later. As anxious as I am, I do all I can to resist the temptation to ask in that he is always so swamped when he is doing finish work. That is a tireless job.

That man is the hardest working guy I swear. Even makes me look like a bit of a slacker.

Keith, the back looks three dimensional. Stunning. You picked this out a slendid set of BRW! Betcha this will be one of Jim's finest to date. But then, I'm sure all from this lot will be gems.

My Olson dread #547 who is being purchased by my band mate is so at the head of it's class compared to every other dread I have touched, and his guitars seem to get better and better, I have no doubt this is one of the nicest guitars he has ever built! We all know that artistically it is beautiful, but I have no doubt it will be through the roof sonically.

Well it will be here within a week.... very excited!

The best part, is it will be here for our big show! You can see my current Olson #547 in the picture. My band mate is now the owner of my Olson #547 and custody will be permanently turned over to him upon arrival of my Olson #1325. What a great guitar he is getting....and I am getting.

We will be 100% Olson when my new one arrives.
