Default Mint Yamaha FG412

Hey guys, I was at a music-go-round store yesterday and stumbled upon a beautiful Yamaha FG412. This thing literally looks like new, I couldn't find a single scratch, ding, nic, or any signs of use apart from it being a little dusty. The frets still look like new, all the chrome is still mirror shiny, the fret board isn't stained, head stock doesn't have a single nic/chip/or scratch. Same with the body. They where asking $130 for it and I ended up getting it for $108. This guitar sounds so frekin good! The lows and mids are very rich and prevalent. It also plays like a dream. I can't find any info about this guitar other than it's a late 90's very early 2000's build and is completely laminate in construction with a spruce top and nato body/back. Was this guitar very popular? How much did these guys sell for new? Was it considered a decent guitar? I know I love the guitar but want to learn more about it! Thanks for any info guys!

Thanks bud! I was super excited when I found it, it was your typical gem hiding in the corner situation lol I've been playing it non stop since I bought it.

My first acoustic is a FGX412. I still own it and will keep it forever.

Enjoy,
Cuki

Nice pickup! FYI, they sold for $107.00 when new.

Just kidding, of course. Some of those old Yammies sound extremely good considering what one pays for them.

I doubt Photobucket will work anymore unless you pay for it now.

Congrats on the guitar.
