1926 000-18 for trade or sale?
Hey ya'll,
I'm in no hurry to sell this guitar. It is spectacular of course. Would rather trade it truthfully. For vintage something else. I'm not really into Dread's. Small body vintage gibsons, martins, off brands of those etc. I got this in a trade as well but put in about 1k of work into it with my luthier out here that is a genius with vintage guitars especially Martins. He got it playing excellently and it sounds like a dream. Its been through some wars so I'm seeing the value as about 8200 or so. If it was in excellent shape it would be at least 12k. It is right before they went to the OM.. so it is long scale but still with the 12 frets. But definitely has a different vibe. I'm VERY visible online and a lot of long time wheeler and dealers on here can vouch for me (its an expensive guitar I know!) More pix available of course but uploading to a post on this forum is such a pain. |

Drool....
I corresponded with yendoggie on this.
Sounds like a boss axe for sure. I just can't go to the 1 7/8" Nut, especially with long scale. Small hands here and old to boot! But not as old as this gem! Best on the sale or even better, trade! Paul

Yea I like the width. I have two other 20s Martins and just traded my 1904. But it’s definitely something we need to get used to. Obviously it’s amazing for finger style as it’s basically as wide as a classical nut.

It’s pretty interesting to do what I often do which is have a banner LG out with a massive baseball bat neck and 1 3/4 inch nut. And then also have one of the 20s Martins out. Where it is a very slender neck but the wide nut. I’ve grown to really just love both of them. I just don’t like a thin nut too much.

This guitar is still around. I've had lots of tire kickers but nothing that has worked out yet.

I can vouch personally for Yendoggy as an all around great guy, great player, and also a complete hound for excellent vintage gear! I'm sure this will be a seamless transaction for anyone interested in this gorgeous guitar.
