Audiophile speaker help? Info on camber (Canadian) speakers
Was wondering if anyone knew anything about Canadian Camber speakers? I have heard that some studios in Canada have used them but that's about it. I have also heard it was a company that didn't last very long and sold(or bought) by Rega.
I'm specifically looking at these Camber studio pros. https://www.ebay.com/itm/322791045404?ul_noapp=true Any info out there?

Back in the day, I owned a pair of Camber 2.5's
They were marketed as "Rega Camber" at first, to as a collaborative effort between the 2 companies to take advantage of the Rega name, which was dropped afterwards. While the model I had was rather cheaply made, the cabinets were particle board with a vinyl wood-grain wrap, the tweeter was a Seas, i think, and the mid-woofer was a proprietary in house driver that was very good. Overall, they were surprisingly competent speakers, priced very reasonably. I heard the speaker model you linked to, and it was a very respected offering in it's time, with a superior build quality. Factory was in Ottawa, IIRC.

I have a couple of small Paradigm speakers made in Canada and they are superb. Made me look them up and the closest they make to what I have are (gasp!) $3500 each.

I have Paradigm studio reference speakers that I purchased approximately 14 years ago. They sound real nice, and were pricey for me at the time. I do not recall the specs on them, but they are not as high end as yours. I still love them.
