Default Carvin Nylon Guitars?

I'm a big fan of Carvin P.A., bass, and acoustic amp gear and get their catalogs often.

I noticed the American made CL450, and some really nice wood options.

Any experience/opinions?

I used to own a CL450. It was nicely crafted, played like a dream, and plugged in it sounded wonderful. The unplugged sound was adequate for practice. I feel it would be best for an electric player.

That's been my experience with the CL450 as well.

I, too, am a CL450 owner. I "third" what's been said above. The unplugged sound is adequate for practice or solo playing. The amplified sound is fantastic (through either a Kustom Sienna 35 acoustic amp or a Roland Cube 30X on clean or black face settings). The workmanship is superb. Mine will never leave my possession.

Like I said, I'm a BIG fan of their p.a., bass and guitar amps, just never owned a Carvin guitar.

They sure have some beautys in their catalogs. I wish they would tackle full sized acoustic guitars, they are truly masters of wood and paint/stain......

The CLs are brilliant guitars. You couldn't perform with them unplugged, but plugged in they sound great and play wonderfully.

They do tackle the full sized acoustics. Check out the Cobalt line.

I've played them in their two different LA stores and thought they were very nice guitars for the money.

I came very close to purchasing the Jumbo.

They also make a Dread and GA.

Didn't know they made a nylon, but it was 5 or 6 yes ago since I've followed them.

I bought this CL450 from Bluewyatt and wished I still had it. It's the perfect crossover guitar for a Strat guy like myself and everything said above is also true. I feel certain that I'll own another one 'Some Day'!
