How about the Oilers? Who would have thought they would be up 3-1 on Calgary after losing game One 9-6. They've always been my West team going back to the Gretzky days.

Avs were cruising and the collapsed. I still think they have too much speed and firepower for the Blues. Great game!

The OT winner was another one Kuemper should have stopped. Blues got a bit lucky earlier in OT as the Avs had an open net and the shot just caught the hip of a defenseman. The Blues are tough as nails, love Ryan O'Reilly.

Colorado had that game 3-0 in the second and then 4-3 with a minute left in the game and couldn't hold on. Waste of MacKinnon's hat trick and 4 point night.

Oilers can bring it home tonight. Gaudreau and Tkachuk need to bring on their big game. No points and each a -3 the past two games.

As far as McDavid goes, not only is he leading the league in playoff points but he's +17... second place is only +9. That's stunning.

Coleman did not kick that goal in. In fact, it would have gone in if Coleman and the Oiler weren't in the crease. Coleman was pushed into the crease by an Oiler. Worst call I've seen in many years. We won that game.

I agree. Not only was Coleman pushed, but he was tripping over the goaltender’s pad. There was no other place for his skate to land on the ice and the puck was going in regardless. The call on the ice was a goal which should not have been overturned, imo. That’s a tough one to swallow.

I agree it was a bad call. Reminds me of Brett Hull's "goal" in Buffalo many years ago.

Larry, that's what came to my mind as well when I read about it this morning (I didn't see the game).

Somehow I think that if Calgary had taken the lead the Oilers would have tied it up in the last few minutes and won in OT but a terrible call is a terrible call and fans will still be talking about this one in 20 years... just like the Hull goal, although the Hull goal was for the Cup.

4 goals in 71 seconds! 2 by each time. Stunning.

I agree it was the wrong call. I do think he was deliberately making sure it would go in. I guess that is what they called. In which case, they were correct. BUT...it was going in regardless. Does that not count? Apparently so.

Yes, the other leg was caught up. THAT is why I think it was the wrong call.

But, there it is. Yup it will be talked about for generations. Wow.

Also wow, that end-to-end slither of MacKinnon, in last Av game, was incredible for itself, but to get a goal out of it? Wow.

He and McDavid? Wow.

However, you can not heap praise for McDavid without a murmur of appreciation for Draisaitl. He is a whirlwind.

Disallowed goal or not, the Oilers were clearly the superior team.
I agree the goal should have counted, but Edmonton kept finding a way the whole series.
Markstrom was dreadful, Smith surprisingly outplayed him.
Calgary’s defense clearly wasn’t up to the task.
I’m a fan of neither team, but McDavid et al weren’t to be denied.

McDavid vs MacKinnon would be a great series... and they would make great teammates for any Team Canada series.

Shocking that Smith outplayed Markstrom this series. Going in, that was Edmonton's weak point and Calgary's strong point. How it flipped I have no idea but the guys up front for the Oilers had something to do with it. Heck, Smith even gave up a goal from a shot near the Calgary net to tie the game earlier in the series.

I saw a deliberate movement of the foot to guide the puck in.
