Default Newtone strings

Can anyone verify what I think I already know?

Do I correctly understand that there is no longer anyone in the US that sells Newtone strings?

I just want to make sure before I place a long distance order.

That's what I found.

It is very easy to order directly from Newtone in the UK.
Depending on where you live, for stock strings it might take 2 to 2 1/2 weeks. For Custom gauge strings, it might take 4 weeks.
I order 10 sets at a time, of gauges of which I choose.
Obviously Covid-19 does come into play. I ordered strings a few weeks after Covid started and got them in reasonable time.
Worth waiting for. Newtone is a great string.

I love them. I use the DADGAD set on my long scale fan fret. The low tension works out perfect for the longer string length.

I'm happy to order from the UK. The exchange rate and the shipping does add up though.

Guitar Gallery in Nashville is the US agent for Newtone strings. I’ve bought from the factory and also from Guitar Gallery. But for custom sets will still have to order direct from the factory.

I just ordered direct it was pretty quick turnaround about 2 weeks, and just a second confirm on Guitargal as the place Neil Silverman said I could get strings in US if I wanted.

Newtone strings are quite impressive. Also, in 1999 when I was trying to figure out what string gauge would work best on my baritone guitar, there weren’t many options at all. But Mr. Newton was very helpful and ran up a few strings for me in gauges from .066 to .080, making pairs of the likeliest gauges like .068, .070, .075, with a few singles in the other gauges.

It was a very kind gesture on his part. And they’re great strings.

I hope you manage to find adequate supplies of them.
