Thanks again guys! Here's some photos just in that show the finish applied, and then the coloring. You'll notice a similarity to another here on AGF currently also getting this burst. I really didn't know that the other person was getting that finish until I saw it one the their thread. When I decided on this, I simply wanted something that would look much like the 914ce I'm selling, and a finish that would turn Cedar (which I personally don't like the color of...sorry cedar fans lol) into something more visually to my liking.

Whatever the case, i think Tony did a great job on both guitars, as he is THE MAN when it come to quality finishing!

Before the burst:

Thank you Doug! Coming from a guy who owns some of the most gorgeous guitars on the planet, I appreciate your kind words. I hope this one is as special as the many others I've owned or played that John has built. I like my chances!!

We now have the position markers in place. We were able to locate some unique diamonds with MOP surrounded by Paua that seemed like a somewhat simple and understated choice for this guitar. John has some nice ideas for the headstock that we'll post when he gets it finished. As always, John does a super job with all of the design elements

That looks killer, Mike!

Have always loved cocobolo binding with dark woods like that, and it really sets everything off nicely here.

I'm sure you must be antsy to get this one in your hands and for good reason!

Congrats to you and kudos to John!

Thanks Kevin, grateful for the kind words! Yes indeed ready to get it here and play it. This started out as the "take your time" guitar. With these pics, it has become the "come on John, get this thing done!!" guitar

Thanks Paul, this doesn't quite have your "mega-bevel" package (whatever you call it lol), but its beveled out for max comfort...which I very well may need. When my wife sees it, I may be sleeping with the darned thing don't ya know

Absolutely gorgeous! The burst, the purfling, the bevels - it all works together beautifully!
