Default Getting that satin neck

My go-to guitar is a Martin OM-35. I think it had a satin neck when I first got it, but that was a long time ago. Now, the neck has a sheen to it, and it's not exactly sticky, but I know what satin feels like and that's what I want. I suspect this calls for 0000 steel wool, but I'm not sure, and even if that's true, I don't know how or how vigorously to apply it.

Suggestions appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob

Once a neck starts to get sticky it really needs a light sand and fresh coat

There are dozens of videos on Youtube which will show you how to do it. This one is probably the best, even if the presenter is slightly annoying.
