I listened to Tea For the Tillerman last night by Cat Stevens. What an exceptional album, I'm tempted to listen again today.

Lately, I've been dissecting Joshua Lee Turner/Carson McKee/Reina del Cid/Toni Lindgren. These four are really good. Check out Turner's song "Rockaway", and original. Excellent stuff. Paul Simon would be proud. Also listening to The Brother Brothers - I'll be seeing them here in Calgary, next Friday. Also introducing myself to the music of Emily Elbert. If you haven't heard her before, you should.

As I type, I am listening to Aretha Franklin's "Until You Come Back To Me", written by Stevie Wonder. Aretha's radio version. Emily Elbert's version, coupled w/Emily's guitar playing - incredible stuff, indeed.

Awesome! Going to the Fox in Oakland. We got balcony seats b/c we're taking the kids (14, 11) with us. They've been listening to Wilco their entire lives and would fall asleep listening to the "Ashes Of American Flags" live DVD, so it was a great opportunity for them to experience Wilco live.
