B.I.G. V, reserve your spot now!
We are holding B.I.G. a little later this year. We are hoping the weather will be a little cooler, which it usually is at the end of Sept. and getting away from Labor Day weekend will make flights and hotels cheaper and the area less crowded.
September 27th thru 29th. More details will follow as I confirm all the loose ends which I am doing as we speak.

B.I.G. stands for Bowersox International Guitarapooloza. The best way to describe is a boutique guitar show I would say or maybe a 3 day house party with food, drinks, guitars, workshops, and concerts, but that is a little long winded haha.
We have between 10 and 15 luthiers with their handbuilt guitars to get to know them, their guitars, and a bunch of new friends. We limit attendance to about 70 people. We have a food truck one day, a catered BBQ the next, and new this year, a catered brunch on Sunday. I think it is the best show out there for getting to know and talk to the luthiers and performers as much as you would like, try out their stuff, A/B between different builders etc. It is a very homey atmosphere. We have folks fly in from all over the country and world. Lonzo who posted above you is from Bavaria for example. It is held just north of San Antonio in one of the best spots in Texas for activities. More details will be posted later as I confirm concert artists and luthiers. Thanks for asking.

Planning on being there. Moving it out of the summer vacation schedule and holiday weekend makes things much easier for me. I suppose the weather might be better for the northerners. I didn't mind the Texas heat.
If you like fingerstyle guitar and fingerstyle guitarists, it's great. Perfect size and tight knit community. |

Tom, in what part of New Braundels does BIG take place? I’d like to check into accomodations.
