Default MM Blues Resonator - crack in neck binding

There's a crack in binding near the 12th fret on both sides (cracks virtually alike). Is this serious and how should it be repaired? Thanks.

Cracks in the neck can be problems. Cracks in binding are uncosmetic but won't affect your playing.

If it separates from the neck it could snag your fingers and interfere with your playing. But that probably won't happen. I wouldn't think about fixing it unless it does.

Looks more like a splice where they joined 2 pieces of binding.

just cosmetic, a good repairman can blend those pieces together if it bugged you.
