So there has been some major progress over the last month.

Rosette finished, the top/back/rim are ready to be closed up-- we went ahead and did a bevel/sound port/cut away.

I'm hoping Fred can post the pictures he texted me to update this thread.

Love the match-up of the end graft and that amazing sapwood on the back.

agreed! I wan't thinking of that until it just became obvious in the picture how well it works together. I think the figure/color palette has a wonderful common thread throughout the whole build.

Fred has been great to work with.

Wow, just catching up. Amazing job Fred. I too love the way the sap wood on the back blends with the end wedge.

I love the build pics. I think it very interesting the order of things, some folks attach the back to the rims first and others like Fred, attach the top and then the back. I wonder if it makes any difference or if it is just the way people like to do it?

I think this is going to be an amazing instrument made by Fred and in the hands of a fine guitarist! I have heard him play at B.I.G., he will do the instrument proud!

The reason I do it this way relates to my FFT analysis of the top voicing. It allows me to do any touchup on the top bracing if needed to get the frequency to where I want it. I have values saved from previous builds at each stage of the build. The values on Micah's guitar are the same as the one he played at BIG so the result will be very close.

The wood working stage of the guitar is complete except for final cleanup and then into the finish process.

Fred has been really great about making suggestions and hearing out some ideas, and helping me find a good middle ground where I don't muck up my guitar! Those inlays are meaningful to me, and I think the colors and overall appointments are really unique but not distracting from a pure aesthetic. Can't wait to hear this thing!

Visually it looks fantastic. Great mix of colour and embellishment. I'm sure it will sound amazing too
