Quick timeline of the Deluxe Reverb:

Circuit dates to mid 1963, and is very similar to the other Blackface amps in design.

January 1, 1965, Fender is bought by CBS. The DR stays pretty much unchanged at first, as CBS engineers go after the big amps first to make their "improvements".

Roughly 1968, the cosmetics change to the silver/blue control panel. Some of those early amps are still blackface circuits inside. In August (according to the schematic code) they alter the circuit to be closer to the bigger amps.

And as an aside, it's really difficult to pin down what circuit a sixties Fender is by cosmetics or labels. Fender, both before and after the CBS takeover, would use the tube charts until they ran out regardless of what the amp was really built as. You pretty much have to pull the chassis and compare.

It is in near perfect condition though I think the tele plug on the foot switch might need re-soldering as the vibrato (tremolo) Switch doesn’t always work properly if the plug is sitting so the cable is under strain.

Sound wise it is everything I hoped for and expected (we have a DRRI at work) with clean overtones to die for. I plan on taking it for a spin today with the full pedalboard and various guitars but the classic combination of Strat and Deluxe Reverb is darn near perfect!

Congratulations..I have the same rig...love it.
