Winwood makes playing seem so easy. I don't know whether to be swept away or insanely jealous. I'll have to give that a listen.

Nice. I haven't had them in the rotation lately, but I think they were just touring with Massive Attack.
I had the new LCD Soundsystem "Electric Lady Sessions" for the drive to/from work, and XTC's "Skylarking" to get me through the rainy days. Gonna listen to the new Bob Mould album tomorrow.

A lot of Dave and Gillian. Also alot of Bill Evans as usual.
Keaggy - Acoustic Sketches Kottke - Chewing Pine Drake - Pink Moon - pulled out the guitar and worked up the tune "Place to Be" in open D.

This week, I've been listening to a mix CD that's a combination of my favorite cuts from the David Grisman Quintet, Nickel Creek, Stephane Grappelli, and Regina Carter.

My small home town of Qualicum Beach has become a favourite place for retirees from other parts of Canada and we have a great oldies radio station called ‘The Lounge’ 99.9 FM which is streamed on line. Hits from the 1970s some of which I hadn’t heard in decades. Don’t know the artist but have a popular song from that time stuck in my head, part of the lyrics which go:
“Here I am, stuck in the city, still going nowhere ...” |
