Neck Strap Pin Question
Do you let the strap pin on the heal of a guitar neck turn or spin and screw it down tight so that it won't?

I'd snug it up, don't let it move around. you don't want that hole in the heal where the screw is to get messed with.

I'd also suggest a leather washer to stop any metalwork scarring the neck

I snug it down until it compresses the felt washer a good bit (you do use a felt washer, right?) and that pretty much keeps the button from spinning. I could still rotate it if I tried but it won't move during normal use.
One thing I've always noticed. I snug it down to where I want it but then invariably about 2-3 days later it has become slightly looser and I have to snug it down another 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Then it stays snug forever. Not sure why.
