That’s pretty much why I don’t watch Brit stuff, I can’t understand what the heck they are saying most of the time and I don’t want to “read a movie” while actually missing a lot of what’s happening behind the captions. Brit English and America aren’t on the same page if you ask me, but maybe the Brits feel the same way about American English.

No problem Dirk, heck I’ll try anything once. 😂

Great show. I thought season 2 with the priest got even better.

I have subtitles on for almost everything and have gotten completely used to it. Except for comedy because it ruins it.

I would like to recommend The Tomorrow War on Amazon Prime Video, it’s free btw. I’m really not into sci fi monsters and futuristic time travel type scenarios but I have to admit this one was pretty darn good. I wouldn’t normally watch something like that but my 16 year old grandson was spending the night and pulled it up and I started watching it with him and stayed through the whole thing.
Here’s the blurb from Amazon: “Time travelers arrive from 2051 to deliver an urgent message: 30 years in the future mankind is losing a war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians to be transported to the future and join the fight. Determined to save the world for his daughter, Dan Forester teams up with a brilliant scientist and his estranged father to rewrite the planet’s future.” Btw, the main character, Dan Forester, is played by Chris Pratt, aka “Andy Dwyer” of Park and Recreation sitcom fame.

Agreed on season 2, and it takes an episode or two to get rolling in season 1.

Maybe this has been brought up before, I haven't been following the thread much, but started watching "The Dorrells on Corfu" last night. Great characters, wonderful show. Also on Amazon.

Still watching The Mentalist on Amazon Prime. Started with season 1 a few months back and now I'm on season 6. I enjoy the show and it's heating up with the serial killer Red John (no spoilers please).

"Unforgotten!"
British cold case crime drama. I believe that later seasons are current on PBS, but not having seen the early seasons, I am watching it on Amazon. Really good acting. It stars Nicola Walker who I believe is in The Durrells of Corfu, as well as many other Brit TV series.

We found it fun to watch the expressions on Nicola Walkers face. A wonderfully interesting actress.

Nicola Walker fans - check out a Brit series she did in 2015 called 'River' with Swedish actor Stellan Skarsdgard - both are excellent.
