I'm not too aware of an event happening. Is this down at Heirlooms? I was under the impression that this was headed to their museum! Pretty crazy that it is headed to a player!! Haha

It's all wood except for the eyes which are a root beer colored polyester and a gold polyester. Woods are Koa, sycamore, bloodwood, ebony, pau ferro and Bastogne walnut. I think I cut it 3 times before it looked right...

It was a lot of fun to cut and I really love the way the fretboard wood choice and dark sunburst that Tim and Mary chose sets a nice mood for the inlay.

Thanks for the insight, Harv (and the artistry)!

The owner needs to order its twin: Lamb of God

Beautiful piece of functional art. Thanks for posting.

Harvey, did you also do this inlay for an Omega baritone that someone on the forum owns? I really like it.

No but that one was the inspiration... as in Tim said "can you do something like this?" I took a slightly more realistic approach (as is my nature ) and used a different image to base mine on. I have always really liked what Kevin did (or person who did the inlay) on that Omega.

Tim, Mary, and Harv, sure wish this one was coming to Memphis.
It would be fun to ogle that up close and in person. Lovely work!

Your work is just as impressive, and the subject matter is very resonant with me.

Thanks for all of the kind and positive comments. Without Harv's artistic contribution this wouldn't have been as special of a project as it was.

Here is a link where you can see and hear this guitar live in a few weeks. Better get your tickets now as they are expecting at least 50,000 in attendance!
