Default Harley Benton Santos Series C-40SCE BK (Pickup system: Fishman IsysT)

fyi before i start: i‘m pretty much still a beginner (been practicing regularly for half a year) and i don’t know much technical stuff about guitars ._.

so that’s the guitar i just got for christmas! it has this pickup system built in and i‘ve only figured out how the tuner works, but theoretically, besides amplifying ofc, i could also use it to record, right? like connect it to my laptop through an interface? because eventually i want to start recording my songs more "professionally" (so not on my iphone anymore lmao). do i need more than the right cables, an interface & a software for that? or is it even any good? does recording through a microphone, a rode NT1-A specifically (going to buy that anyway for my singing), sound any different/better/worse?

sorry if i‘m not making sense haha

An interface is certainly the way to go but make sure to check the connectivity because not all interfaces will work with all computers. Onboard pickups are fine for live situations but rarely yield good results when recording. It's almost always preferable to use a microphone as pickups tend to have a quacky sound. A Rode NT1A certainly has its share of fans out there.
