Oh...I understand what he was saying. lol. IMHO there are a lot great people here at AGF, like all of the folks in this thread, and that is a fact.

The sound is going to depend on the model, the woods used, etc. Don't know why everyone thinks all Taylors sound the same. They do not, anymore than every Martin, Gibson, etc. all sound the same.

I have a 2002 810 limited with a mahogany back/sides and spruce top that has a very warm sound to my ear. Same with my R. Taylor with a sinker redwood top and rosewood back/sides. They each sound different from each other and I consider both a warm sound compared to many other guitars.

Which, btw, is not to say that other Taylors do not "sparkle". There are great variances between models and sizes IMHO.

Default So my $500 Tanglewood OM beats my Taylor 812CE

Finally got to play one of these Tanglewoods.
Awesome fast neck , easy to play and an impressive balanced sounding guitar..

I have a tanglewood tw40sdvse (quite the model number) that I think sounds very juicy. This is of course my opinion which is of course what one might expect to read in an open forum like this.

I put a fire stripe guard on and white button tuners (fact), which greatly improved the appearance of the guitar (opinion)

:-)
