Even though the video wuality may not be as good, I think it is well worth the time to see the playing of the pioneers of British folk guitar such as Davy Graham, Bert Jansch or John Renbourn.
for what it's worth, I do know that Jansch and Renbourn are both still active: http://www.johnrenbourn.org/ http://www.bertjansch.com/ Jacqui McShee, who sang for Pentangle, is also still active in a current incarnation of the Pentangle. http://www.pentangle.info/

I got to Bert Jansch through Jackson C Frank (Jansch recorded a version of Frank´s My Name is Carnival) and I really liked his first record (where Angie´s at). Just yesterday heard The Black Swan, his latest cd, and liked it too. There are two songs there (Katie Cruel and Watch the Stars) that pay for whole record on themselves.

Not to hijack this thread, but I got to see Pentangle back in the early '70s. They were third on the bill backing up ZZ Top and Ted Nugent. One of the stranger concert groupings I've seen. Unfortunately I, as well as most of the rest of the crowd, really wasn't into their type of music at the time. We were all there to rock and roll and just wonder who the heck these guys were .
