Default 1993 Froggy Bottom G w/ cutaway -- Traded

For those of you who follow the AGF classifieds, you have seen this one before. I have pulled it twice as Even I know I would never be able to replace it. However, there is an instrument currently on the forum that totally intrigues me.

So...for your consideration. My 1993 Froggy Bottom G model with venetian cutaway. I would have to say this is a fairly rare instrument based upon the model, the age, the condition, the playability--and the sound. I have attached a couple of YouTube videos of this exact guitar which were posted by fellow AFGer SuperB23:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKHl5so4QJc

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSTJxjFHOi8

Back and sides - Mahogany
Top - Adirondack
Nut space 1 3/4
Pickup - yes
Cutaway - Yes
Scrimshaw on the heel - yes
Case - Probably TKL is very good ++ condition

The guitar is in remarkable condition and the playability is truly superb. A couple of AGF members were by yesterday and played it--which makes it even harder to put up for sale

At today's prices, this instrument would list for about $10K (without the mojo )

The price is CONUS. [B]Buyer is responsible for any payment fees if incurred. Price is firm. [B][
[ Here is the eye candy. Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions. Lot of deals here on the AGF.

I used to own this beast of a guitar!! When I say beast I mean it in a good way. This one is for sure one of the top 3 Mahogany guitars I’ve. It wasn’t far off from the 1937 D-18 I owned tonally!! Buy this one with confidence. Old Froggies are equal tonally to newer ones if not better than newer ones due to the age of the woods.

Good luck with your sale.

Sounds like a great Froggy. Definitely a great seller - Frank is excellent to work with, and his guitars are exactly as described (or better). Fabulous opportunity here!

Man oh man...I can't begin to imagine how good this one sounds. I've owned a few smaller Frogs and they were spectacular, I can guess this one is like an orchestra when she's singing...or as I've heard Paul say..."like a choir of angels".

And the price...oh my goodness . A Froggy at that price is like giving it away.

I've personally worked with Frank on several deals, and he is a super guy and GREAT to work with. Someone will LOVE this guitar!!

Smile I read something about trade options...

but could not find any listed here. I would love to trade for this, but I have a common problem in not knowing which one of my guitars I could be without!

Beautiful guitar. I would keep it! JD

No, not at all. What makes a guitar too big is the depth, not the width of the LB! I don’t see specs on this one, but most jumbos are merely 4” deep, just like an OM. The dread is 5” deep, or near that. Dreads are too big for most, jumbos not so for most.

I play my Jumbo with all the comfort of my OM-sized guitars. The butt of the jumbo just sits a little further to the right on my couch! If you play standing, with a strap, you can’t even tell it’s a “big-legged woman.” The power makes me smile and you gotta have one!

If I still lived east, I’d buy this one I n a heartbeat. But I live in the high desert now and 5 guitars are enough to water weekly. GLWTS, no never mind, just keep it!

Hey Frank

In my not so humble opinion, you should keep this! I am amazed that it is still here at this rock-bottom price.

Keep her and enjoy her in great health and spirits! Why not?

Cheers

Paul
