Help finding 60's/70's folk songbook title
Hi - I am new to this site and am not sure if this is the best place to post this, but it's the most appropriate I've seen so far.
I have an old guitar book my father and I used to sing out of when I was a kid. It has titles such as Down in the Valley, Dark as a Dungeon, Union Maid, Jesse James, Bury Beneath the Willow, Hard Ain't It Hard and many other folk-type songs, plus many good b/w photos. It is somewhat instructional as well as having great songs in it. It isn't Joy of Guitar but is from the same era. Mine is pretty beat up and is completely void of identifiable details, save for the songs & pictures in pages from pages 19-62 (the rest are missing). I would love to obtain another copy of complete book or at least would like the title. In addition to the above information, I've added a link to two photos. Thank you for any help you can give me - RJ https://www.flickr.com/photos/140601223@N02/ |

Many thanks go to a non-member who happened to read my post and sent me a message. In case anyone is curious, the book is The Folksinger's Guitar Guide, An Instruction Manual, by Ron Silverman.
Now to purchase another copy. |

Glad you found the information on it. I thought perhaps it might be "Rise Up Singing."

I thought it was Rise Up Singing. We still use that.

I also know it.
Fortunately, it is easy to find in amazon and in some other stores. http://www.amazon.com/The-Folksinger.../dp/0825600138 Cheers |
