I have Heritage for just under $30,000 worth of gear. $25,000 is $250/yr.

I believe it is declared value. You send them a list of gear with serial numbers, value, etc. I have instruments, amps, speakers, microphones, pedals...all covered.

Check your regular homeowner's insurance with your agent before assuming it will cover musical instruments. You may not be able to replace that pre-war Martin with what they will pay.

Mine, too.

It is a question that needs to be asked the correct way. "Are my guitars covered when they are shipped?" is not the same question as, "are my guitars covered when I ship one to someone I sold it to?" I found this out by asking some other insurance companies when I was researching insurance.
