Default Matt Kinnaird's #4

About one year in the making but it was worth the wait.
Curly black walnut (harder than claro) body and neck.
Cedar top, I supervised the voicing and it does sound very good.
zircote binding.
Finish and burst by Tony
Moustache bridge
jezcar frets (is that spelled right)
Matt worked in my shop and I did the QC on the build.

Congratulations Matt!

I wish I was lucky enough to have John looking over my shoulder on my first builds. I especially like that Walnut neck.
I'm a big fan of Black Walnut. I consider it the Brazilian Rosewood of Walnuts.

Mark

It’s jescar! And that being the only thing I’d know more about guitars than you, great work by Mark. The curly walnut really adds beauty!

Looks like a great guitar, Matt--congrats!

Any chance we'll get to hear it?

Smile Way to go Matt!

Very nice indeed!

I hope working with John is as pleasant as I would expect from all my interactions with him.

Carry on and have FUN

Paul

Very cool. Chip off the old block.

I wish I had a pencil-thin mustache!

Hey Mark,

Thanks for the praise! You're right, I am very lucky! Most of you guys on here I'm sure, had to figure this out from scratch. Which I can now say would have been a trail on sanity and an exercise in patience.

Yes, my dad is great to work with. We have similar working habits I believe. Low frustration levels and a calm and chill atmosphere!

That's why I chose that one. I'm living vicariously through that bridge. I too wish I could sport that same mustache! I tried at one point but my wife persuaded me to change.

Thanks, Jayne,

There's a part of me that would be happy if the guitar got to stay with me. I love it!
