I never cared about sunbursts until I saw a Collings 'burst... This one would be a primo example of an awesome sunburst, let alone awesome guitar.
GLWS! I miss reading your posts on the Collings forum. This looks like a killer guitar that'll make somebody happy! |

Definitely a lovely guitar. I'm curious, since EIR is standard on a 0002, why is this considered a 0001?

The original owner, (a doctor in Maine); custom ordered the guitar with these very tasty & somewhat 'unusual' options. He only had it for a short period of time as he realized he was more of a "Martin Guy". So I lucked into this guitar that way... As I mentioned in my item description, the only 0001 'attributes' this guitar has in the tortoise shell body binding & 0001 style rosette. Pretty much everything else about it are 0002, 0003, & 000-45 options. What I do know is that this is one of the absolute "Sweetest sound Collings 000's that I've ever played. The action is fantastic as well. Almost Les Paul "Fretless Wonder" territory! So nice & low with no buzz whatsoever.
