Hearty Congrats Howard. You are deserving of this beauty, and not just because of the Covid hardship you had to get through, but for the great music that lies ahead.
Enjoy! It's a true beauty.
Hi Andre,
So sorry for the late reply........

Thanks for the kind words. I'll hopefully be going into the studio later this week to record a piece for my current project. I'll also be taking Lacorsa to John's shop for some official photographs. There's a very ambitious documentary about John in the works, and I think this might make the cut if all goes well.

It's amazing to me that the first pictures John sent were on April 1, and I was laying in bed with Covid19 at that moment......well you can just imagine the dichotomy: I can't believe it's been started, and am I going to be around to experience my vision?

It really came together pretty quickly from April 1 to picking it up on my birthday June 4.

I'm appreciating all things a lot more as of late, especially having become a grandfather on Easter Sunday. Now if Canada just opens its borders we can actually get to hold little Emerson Salvatore Lentini for real instead of doing Facetime!

Onward,
Howard

Yes Howard, it’s like your guitar came pre-loaded with all sorts of emotional significance, and you’ve only had it a few weeks!
Hearty congrats on becoming a grandfather. I hope that you both get to hold your grandson soon, but I’m not so optimistic that the border will re-open soon, realistically.
By that I mean, Canada may start by allowing access to immediate family members from the US, BUT, word is they’ll have to quarantine themselves for 14 days in the country if they do. So, effectively turning it into a 15 day stay.
Certainly a non-starter for me. I haven’t been there since last summer so I’m overdue, but a 2week stay is not in the cards.
But I guess an announcement will be forthcoming, probably next week. Maybe it won’t be so draconian.
In the meantime, I guess you’ll have to stick to Facetime. You can play him a tune on your new guitar. Might as well let him know early what a really cool grandad he has!
