You know, I keep my bass or guitar in the case--'cause it's your wish--but I want to be in the room if you play with the group.

Bonzo. That would be a blast just to hear him lay down those grooves.

Also:
Lennon
McCartney
Eddie Van Halen
Neil Young

I've noticed that Jim Croce is one of the most mentioned names in this thread. Coincidence, I think not.

Time in a Bottle is one of my favorite songs to TRY and play. It's an absolutely beautiful song.

I'm surprised no one has listed Robert Johnson! Perhaps not my first choice, but still, who wouldn't want to actually jam with the guy that sold his soul to the devil?

Yes, and when Robert finds out he's jamming with me, and hears me play and sing, well he'll know the costs of such a bargain.

It would be fun to compare guitar chops with Johnson since I likewise sold my soul, but to Dennis over at the VFW.

My best friend Andrew. We've been friends since I was 2 and he was 4. 46 years. We started playing music together in our teens and played together in bands. I moved away at 23 so we now live ~900 miles apart and we don't get much time together in person. He veered away from the guitar but I succeeded in getting him back into it over the past 5 years. He has a lot of talent that I thought was a shame to see go to waste.

You just described my friend Jason and I. He was 1 and I was 3 when we met, 35yrs later, we still jam after starting in our early teens. I took about a 15yr hiatus and he convinced me to get into acoustic and take some lessons. Now, I have the guitar disease and can't stop......hence why I'm on this forum. I even went and bought a new electric and upgraded from the Bronco. (Some like the Bronco more than the Tele, but they're crazy. I still have stickers on it from when we were teens)
