Very nice rendition of Shenadoah.

My wifes' father and her evil step mother produced the Broadway show Shenandoah. It opened in 1974 and ran for 1050 performances. It also road showed for several years after it closed on Broadway.

There is a very good song from the show called "The Pickers are Coming." It is about the gentlemen that come courting Robert Anderson's daughter Jenny.

It would make a great companion piece to Shenandoah.

Thanks for the information, and the comment on the recording. I will have to look that up.

Beautiful recording. That's the sound I hope I can achieve someday.

Thanks for commenting. In the next recording, I will trim it up and add some reverb. Mainly just wanted you all to hear what it sounds like, "In the raw", so to speak. I was surprised how true the recording is to the actual sound of the guitar.

I would pay for it even like it is as far as reverb. Do you attribute this ultra realistic sound to the mics or pre or converters or all the above? The source is great sounding, I can tell. Something makes me think it wouldnt sound quite that good with my 100 dollar condensers and dmp3.

I think all of the above contribute to the overall character of the sound I am getting, but at this point, a different guitar would probably make the most difference for me.

That's a lovely shimmer and a lovely arrangement. Shenandoah, right? Is it your own?
