Seagull is a sturdy Canadian guitar designed exactly for such campfire moments I would not worry, but keep safe distance from fire and bring a head lamp.

Had a good time playing my Seagull around the campfire over the weekend. Got down into the mid 30's, but was nice and toasty around the fire. Guitar sounded great with no tuning issues and survived without any incidents. Thanks for all the advice and encouragement. Looking forward to my next campfire session!!

Awesome. I learned Trampled by Turtles "Whiskey" just for campfire sessions. Fits in pretty nice when the bottle goes around...

Excellent! My Seagull Artist is packed and ready to go for a trip later this week. Temps shouldn't be quite that cool, but I expect good things to come from its participation

Yes, I have damaged many a good time and relationships by playing guitar around a campfire.
Ya know... I totally forgot about this aspect. There could be damage from thrown fruit, banjo player conflicts, high-proof vodka flare-ups, persons falling en-masse while standing-drinking-singing-swaying like they tend to do, and then there's always the aggravated bears...

How could you possibly damage a campfire by doing that?

Easier than you think. Wolf notes. They wreak havoc on the combustible process. That's why my campfire guitar has fan frets and cost 7k.

You need to be very careful of the proximity effect if there is another guitar around the fire. Song transmission can occur after only a short time of contact. You can come home and find your guitar playing Oh Susanna, Michael Row Your Boat Ashore, and Kumbaya. While rarely fatal, a period of quarantine is well advised.

Makes sense. Fire starts to go out, you just fan the flames . . .

You should be fine. But be careful if anyone near you feels the need to reapply bug spray. Don't ask.
