Default Happy Thanksgiving!

Where I live, it is a crisp morning (35 degrees), with sun low in the sky, shining through what remains of the leaves on the trees: golds and browns, and a bit of pale green shimmering in the breeze. It is easy t be grateful for this beauty.

Last night, as I fretted about some details of a business deal that is not going my way instead of falling into a restful sleep, I had to work to remind myself of my great good fortune, stretching across decades: good health, many great friends and acquaintances, sufficient financial resources, opportunities to see much beauty, enjoyment of many pleasures (music, good food, uplifting experiences of many types and forms, simple joy without cause). I was happy and relieved that I did not linger too long in self-absorbed pity, and could close out the day with a state of mind that let go of frustration, and that opened to an attitude of gratitude.

Whether gratitude is immediately available to you today, or whether you need to work and/or search for reminders of the blessings of your life, I do hope that all the members of our community experience the contentment and thankfulness that this day symbolizes.

May we all be happy and healthy, safe and at peace.

On my favorite holiday, I wish y’all a Happy Thanksgiving as Snow Pea monitors a rafter of turkeys.

Happy Thanksgiving indeed. Parts of last year went by at a blistering speed while others linger. I’ll sit down later to play my guitar, eat too much and ask someone to pull my finger. ... New song?

Ditto from this Canadian. Normally since retiring five years ago, my wife and I would be celebrating the U.S. Thanksgiving with our fiends in SW Florida, but this year we’re delaying our departure until after the New Year while we help our younger son and fiancée with their new custom home construction. Enjoy family time, be safe and eat hearty, friends!

Had our family + over last night (grown kids multiple obligations, you know).

Most appreciated and memorable part? All the laughter.

Best Thanksgiving wishes to you all.

Man, Herb!

What a great photo!!! Snow Pea looks like a pretty burley cat!!!

And Happy Thanksgiving to all! We have rain, rain, rain, going on, it seems, forever...

But I am thankful that we are (mostly) dry.

Well Said All.

I, too, have far more blessings than I deserve or can even count; chief among them a new grandson and a loving family.

I know we are an international group that is spread out by thousands of miles/kilometers but I feel like we're also a family of sorts. A family that celebrates many different holidays, customs, and traditions.

So, as a member of the American clan, I wish all a very Happy Thanksgiving in the best way possible. May you all enjoy your blessings and hopefully share those same blessings with those who could use some happiness.

Best to all,
Photojeep
