Default Custom "tenitone" uke build?

Hi all,
How do you all feel about seeing a custom ukulele build here in the Custom Shop?

I am having a tenitone ukulele - that's a cross between a tenor and a baritone, in a tenor tuning - built by the Hawaiian luthier Eric DeVine. Eric does beautiful work, I imagine some of you are familiar with him but most are not.

Eric is starting my uke in about a week. If the powers that be think a uke is appropriate here, I will post photos (and hopefully commentary from Eric!).

The instrument will be built with Carpathian spruce top, and Cuban mahogany (grown in Hawaii) back and sides.

J

I think a build post for your custom uke would be AWESOME! I'd love to see it come to life.

I was hoping for some super flamey koa, but will have to settle for some awesome Cuban Hog. Looking forward to the pics!!!!

Ukes are such fun instruments!

Would love to see it built.

I posted a build thread for my John S. Kinnard Tenor some time ago. Precedent already set!

Not that I have any power, but I see no reason why you could not post that build here. I think we would all like to see something new.

Dennis, thanks for your support and for bringing your Kinnard uke thread to my attention. I was confused, as I was thinking that John KINNAIRD built your uke, and I did not know he builds them. Your uke looks beautiful!
