Just picked up a OM2H Traditional because the neck is absolutely perfect for me. Trying to figure out how to go back and get the D1H-T as well. Collings nailed it with these Traditionals IMO. And they come with the new case, which is cute, but the neck pocket is too small to hold a pack of strings. Always something...

I had the distinct privilege of studying with Pete at the Acoustic Alaska Guitar Camp several years ago, before all of his major health issues came up. In a class of a dozen advanced finger style players, it took all 12 of us playing the various parts to not even approach the musicality of just Pete on "Superstition". He even let some of us play his Collings OM after classes.

Great memories.... great player..... really nice guy.

That is a very nice story, Earl.

I never got to meet him, but he seemed like a genuinely good guy all around. And of course a spectacular player.

I always liked the looks of his cutaway OM-1A and I think the inlay on this new commemorative version is tastefully done.
