Default Any Breedlove CM owners out there?

Just got mine recently and would like to know what strings you've tried and like. Mine is Red Cedar over Walnut.

Thanks!

Don't have a CM, but I have have a deep body concert, & it loves Elixer Lights! Sitka over Myrtle.

The deep bodied Focus concert I had (cedar/eir) responded to D'Addario EJ-16s just fine. But, being cedar, new strings were a must because cedar needs all the help it can get to keep presence in the trebles. I changed them every 3 weeks.

If the sound is disappointing, tweak the bridge truss - too tight chokes the top, too loose makes the truss a dead weight.

My Breedlove cedar-top concert responds really well to D'addario Nickel-Bronze lights.

I have a CM.
I am using Elixer Nano PB’s.
Perfect for me.
I play slack key, so tuned to open G.
The CM is a guitar I had lusted after for many years.
The planets aligned, the unicorn appeared, I have had mine for four years now and I am not
letting it go.

Thanks for the advice on the Elixirs. I'll give them a try next change. I have few favorites I play in Open G too.

I too, lusted after a CM for about 10 years, never thinking the planets would align for me either, Then Righteous Guitars gave me a GREAT deal on a brand new one that I snapped up. I was initially hesitant as it was advertised as being PLEX'd. Not knowing what this was, I thought it might have been done to correct a flaw in the next or frets. Once I got some good advice on this board, I learned it's actually a plus.

My other 2 BLs have sat in their cases since and will soon be on the auction block to recover some funds. However, both will be sorely missed as they are fantastic performers in their own right.

I have been enjoying DR Rares on multiple Breedloves. I tried their Veritas along with Elixirs and a few others that I didn't like as much. I also like the Exp16 that are stock on some,

I don't think the CM takes any special strings. Just find the strings you like and try them. Everybody's preference is different so any suggestions here aren't going to mean much.
