Default Another Guitar for BIG…..this one is a maple slope dread

A maple BC Sitka slope dread hopefully headed for BIG.

Laminated sides with red maple linings and probably big leaf on the outside though it could be sugar maple. It’s been in The stash for a long time so who knows for sure.

The linings are Spanish cedar.

It will have an arm bevel and a back bevel. There are carbon fiber struts to carry the block load because the neck will be cantilevered

The back has a maple leaf inlayed just for fun. Inlay is Desert Ironwood.

Binding is curly walnut.

BC. Sitka top.

Just noticed the pic includes two pencil lines marking the center. Ignore those lines.

Wow, so many things to say already. The top is amazing, the back is amazing and that maple leaf inlay looks so real I swear you just glued a leaf on the back of the guitar and are pulling out legs!

B.I.G. here we come!

I'm with Tom--these woods are exceptional and the leaf inlay is very tastefully done!

Really looking forward to BIG III!

Holy cow, bro…give the rest of us a chance, will ya?
You haven’t just thrown down the gauntlet, you’ve thrown the glove, the mitt and the mitten as well.
That off my chest, your guitar looks great. Hard to compete with that. Maybe Tom can put my table out on the back patio?

OK brother. Thanks for the compliment but don’t think for a minute that I’m going to be taken in by your modesty and let my guard down. I know what’s coming and it will be impressive.

Obviously the correct answer is….

You are ALL going to have a Blast
