Default Together again, again...

Earl found himself in Phoenix and we got together this afternoon...

I know what you're thinking: "That isn't a carbon fiber guitar you're playing, Jim!?!" Actually, I played Earl's Emerald X30 most of the afternoon while he played my Virtuo. After a late lunch break, when we came back, I pulled my Taylor 814ce off the wall. Yes, I do play wood guitars, too. The Emeralds get far more play, but I like to spread the love around.

What I was thinking: "I'm impressed by how comfortable that X30 is - it's a big guitar with a big voice, but it sat comfortably on my lap (I didn't try it with a strap while standing)." It actually fit ergonomically better than the 814. Very nice!

That’s great. Old friends and guitars are a great mix.

“An Emerald Kestrel found itself in my house” is a variation on the theme I must run by the CFO

Got together today with my music buds to work on some tunes - yes, this time I was playing an Emerald, my previous gen X7...

In that photo above, that is my friend Ron playing a Composite Accoustic. (the lady in that photo is a friend of my long time music parter Mark - she wanted to see how we work up and arrange songs)

And, yes, my smaller X7 hangs with the big boys. (love that guitar!)
