I would suggest finding a reputable dealer close to where you live. It might not be cost effective to ship and insure the guitars across the country, followed by the consignment fees. I realize it's inconvenient, but if you list here or EGF (since both are Eastman), I'm sure you could find a decent buyer with minimal annoyances.
And I'm with you on Venmo. That's a long-running scam. Good luck!

I have bought and sold a number of guitars with Jake Wildwood in central Vermont. Very nice guy, always on the level and if your guitar needs work to sell, he is very reasonable.

It looks like one of your guitars is listed for sale in the classifieds, and that you live in Tennessee. It may be a long drive to Nashville, but there are few if any better places in the country to try and buy a guitar. I would take the guitars to a shop in Nashville for consignment or trade-in. As others have noted, at their price points used, it doesn’t make sense to spend $100+ each to ship the guitars to a shop for consignment. Given how popular Eastman guitars are, I’m surprised that you haven’t been able to (or couldn’t) sell them relatively hassle-free in the classifieds here.
Good luck with the sales, whatever you decide! |
