Clive's a great bloke, I met him at an RMMMMMMMMGA weekend near Bristol some years ago.
I've always wanted to play this piece, just not enough to actually do it (it seems) - now all I need is another three months of lockdown to work on it! I've put it as a direct video link for you/me everyone.

I agree, he's a lovely guy. Not actually met him myself, but I've seen him play, and know people who have met him.
Not to take anything away from CC (because his version is killer), two other important sources for Mississippi Blues are the original: and Stefan Grossman: FWIW, I first heard the piece only a few years ago, played by Will McNicol in a local club - I was duly amazed (much as Stefan was by the original), found that original recording and learned it. Not exactly "overnight" (no false modesty from Stefan there...!), but I was relieved to find it wasn't as difficult as it sounded. I suppose it took me a few days, on and off. Mind you, CC has added all kinds of extra bells and whistles... BTW, the CC arrangement I really want to learn is his version of Goodbye Pork Pie Hat. That's the level up from Mississippi Blues! I'll let you know when I get to the top of that one. I'm hiring Sherpas and breathing equipment as we speak....

I’ve taken five classes from Clive at the Swannanoa Gathering over the years. Have had the pleasure of hearing him play Mississippi Blues live several times. Great person and instructor.
