Default New Uke Stand - Hercules Content

I just received my new Hercules uke stand, the UKS100B, that I think they just introduced last fall. It is adjustable (height) to fit any size uke, it has their Auto Grip System, and it has foam padding at all contact points. I've attached some photos with my Pono MB-6, which is baritone size. It's quick to set up and adjust. No, not small enough to put in a uke case, but what I love about it is its stability. I bought it for my music room. I have a 4-guitar Hercules stand that introduced me to the Hercules brand, and I'm not disappointed at all with this uke stand. Just thought I'd share, since it is a relatively new product.

I've got one and like it a lot - it's the only thing I've ever won in an online drawing.

These are nice stands and the problem they had a decade ago with this style stand has been remedied. A decade or more ago, I bought three Hercules stands in this style but for the guitar and most of the rubber pieces were very sticky right out of the box. I used them by being careful to keep the guitar bodies away from the sticky areas when removing or replacing the guitars in the stands. After a few years, the sticky adjustable-height, pistol-grip area of all the stands disintegrated and fell apart. They can be replaced by Hercules for free if I send them pictures of the three units but I haven't gotten around to it. Several other AGFers had this same problem with the older stands.

They look kind of flimsy - are they sturdy enough to bear the weight of a ukulele?

Nice! I use my Hercules guitar stand, but added a bit of foam pipe insulation where the body wants to swing in and touch the shaft. Nothing wrong with a dedicated ukulele stand, though.

I've considered a stand to handle the acoustic that sits in my office and I reach for several times a day. Right now I have a really cheap stand and I worry that if I am sloppy in putting it in there one day it will fall.

How easy is it to reach over and grab the guitar (Uke) several times a day? Does it unlock easily?

Lift, unlock. Set in, lock.
