Hey, hey! Just got the email verification last night that my new Martin should be delivered here at my workplace before close of business today!!

I'll let her rest overnight and post pics tomorrow if everything looks good upon unboxing her. Fingers crossed...!

I’ll post “glamour shots” when she finally gets to me!
Congrats and a great choice! I love my 000-18!

That’s great i’m glad you’re getting it for the weekend. My new Larrivee won’t be here until Monday. I’m fortunate to have others to play though. I hope you enjoy the heck out of it.

Nice!!!! If it's warm outside you probably don't need to acclimate for 24 hours. I remember you saying you had a similar experience through COVID as I with respect to guitars. I hope you doubly enjoy this new one.

Good luck, and here's to the 000-18 being all you hoped for in a guitar. I went through the same thing you're going through now, back in 2007. I got hit by a bunch of unexpected bills that had to be paid NOW. I ended up selling all of my guitars and my amp, and because I needed the money a.s.a.p., I had to do it at a Music Go Round, where you don't get top dollar. It was not a lot of fun. I remember saying to the salesman at Music Go Round how this was weird for me, because for first time in 28 years (I started playing guitar in 1979 at age 15), I was without a guitar.

The 2 months I was without a guitar felt pretty long at times, due to having no guitar to play, when the urge hit me to do so.

You're not that far from me, I got one two days ago and it was opened within 5 minutes! The weather has been pretty good around here.

Yeah...I just got it! It'll be open as soon as I get into the apartment after work. It's been really mild here in the Ozarks the last few days.

Some glamour shots of the new Martin! She’s a beauty...and sounds amazing! I completely suck at iPhone photography, and I don’t know why the pics are tilted in the wrong direction.

Thumbs up

Congrats! Some call this model the Swiss Army Knife! Enjoy playing and bonding with it!

I remember you owned the 00-18 previously. Which one do you prefer? Just curious about your initial assessment.

I came very close to buying another 00-18. The main issue was that the availability date was several months away...and I could get the 000 sooner, quite frankly. Even if that were not the case, I believe I made the right choice for me at this point. Will I own another 00-18? Probably. But the 000-18 is just the tone of the 00 “on steroids” with a more pronounced bass response, and a bit more warmth to the tone.
