Default Molly Tuttle

Molly Tuttle covering Rancid. What else do you need! The Dead cover isn't too shabby either...

I’ll throw in her and Lindsay Lou’s Operation Ivy cover:

BTW, I get to take a BG guitar workshop led by her next month through Old Town School of Folk Music. Very excited.

The Dead are one of those bands people tend to steer away from as the songs are iconic to so many, much in the same way that few are brave enough to cover Led Zep. However, I think Molly got it just right - it's still got the feel, but she did her own arrangement. To me it's one of the highlights of the album.

Agreed, and she did choose a pretty obscure/late in career Dead tune, so she had the chance to make it her own without having to live up to too many preconceived expectations. And she said it was her favorite song, no less. One of Hunter's many great lyrics. I like it even a little better than Jerry's version!
