Default One my two boys does't like my guitar playing

He wants outside when I sit down to practice.

He has a doggy door to go out into a fenced in area but apparently that's not far enough.

When I first started playing my dog would head for the hills, too. But as my meager skills progressed that changed. Now one of her favorite spots is at my feet when I’m playing...

My thoughts too. There is no other explanation.

When my partner tried to play she would only do down strums and mute half the strings. Sounded bad but I tolerated it!

Lol! My cat mostly tolerates my playing. Will usually lay there until the song is finished then look up and meow at me. Probably saying, "Please don't do that again!" If I keep it up he will jump up on my leg and start biting the strings or sticking his paw into the sound hole.

I have five critters and they all are disappointed when I play. One less lap to fight over, but the young one tries to bully her way on anyway.

I thought I was improving enough for my dog to stay in the room with me when I played, but it turns out she's now completely deaf. No more scampering out of the room when I pick up my guitar though.

My puppy didn’t comment on my playing, but when I sang, she sang along.

Rupert (the cat) doesn't enjoy the sounds of guitars. If in the same room, he'll slowly get up and amble out.

We used to have a cat that either hated or loved my playing a harmonica - she'd climb up me and try to put her snout beteeen my mouth and the harp.

I've beeh wearing hearing aids for a week or so, and tried to play and listen with them. Trebles can be very unsettling!

We have two dogs. They hustle from wherever they are in our house when they hear me even pick up a guitar. They settle in on the couch where they have an unobstructed view of me and stay as long as I’m willing to play. Perhaps they are gluttons for punishment but they are my biggest, most loyal fans.
