I've done that a'plenty, Barry!
Then, I do a new set of strings and/or a different tuning, and the impulse subsides (usually)...whew.

Barry, just sell it to me (cheap) and you won’t have to concern yourself with it any longer.
You can thank me later ( after sending it) for not having to even think about it.[emoji23]
I don't have that particular model.

First rule of thumb...if you're gonna sell it you never ever play it. But in your case I'm glad you did because it saved you from having to purchase another one? Not to mention the OM-05 is just a sweet guitar!

I cannot think of selling my great Larrivees L-03koa and OM-09 though I also own some Taylors, Gibsons and Martin...

Don’t do it!!

And yes, my little OM-03 sounds phenomenal in CGCGCD. It’s pretty much lived there for the last 6 months.

I own two Larrivee guitars, an OM-03W that is one of my all time favorite guitars, and an L-03R that a buddy and I converted to an eight string by putting octave strings on the D and G strings.

Both guitars are excellent instruments. I’m unlikely to ever sell or trade the L-03R, but the OM-03W is one that will only leave my possession by me dying.

You can see by my sig. that I like Larrivee. But what if you tune your other guitars similarly and determine who wears it best. Then you'd know if it was tuning glory or guitar glory that caught your fancy.

Hi Wade, regarding your 8 string, I know it requires a change to the nut and saddle but did you need to replace the bridge and bridge plate as well or was there enough room for the two extra strings?

I used to own two Larrivee's. Great build and tone. I had a L-09 and a D-60. The 60 was just ok and I eventually traded it in. My experience is that their sustain is lacking from what I believe is the Poly finish they use. Im not a fan of Poly finishes on any acoustic. If I do ever get another one, it will be an L model. IMO the Ls are where its at when it comes to Larrivee.
