I saw him at the Bitter End very long ago, still remember hearing "Sam Stone" for the first time there. Heck of a song. Heck of a songwriter.

Sad news. “I wish you all the best”, John Prine - and to your lovely wife Fiona. You are loved.

Yes, sadly, Larry.

John and Steve (Goodman) were the whole reason I started playing almost 50 years ago.

Sad news indeed.

My wife and I drove to Nashville for his New Years Eve show at Opryland. I'm glad we went...

Wishing for a full and speedy recovery for John!

A close friend of mine in England just came through a bout with the virus. She said she's never felt so bad in her 60+ year life as she did with the coronavirus.

Take it seriously folks. PLEASE!

Around where I live I'm hearing coronavirus referred to as the "Boomer Remover"...

Very sorry to hear this. John is a true "original" and has had a rough go at it health-wise for a number of years. Sending out thoughts and prayers.

Johns music has been abig part of my life for almost fifty years. Hate to see him having to suffer from this.

I hear Tom Rush has also tested positive. Not sure how serious his case is though. He is getting up in years too.
