Default Banjo Players

In my hometown they're hiring banjo players to play on street corners so people will stay home.

Isn't the term 'Banjo player' an oxymoron?

Me, neither. I'm pretty tired of the banjo player jokes.

Well, I've been playing banjo for longer than I have guitar, and I thought it was funny. I laughed out loud, and plan to inflict that joke on others...

That's just cruel.
Much more gentle approach here ... they started with Polka bands ... but I fear they may move to banjo's if people don't respond adequately and responsibly.
There's also a nasty rumour going around about bagpipes which has lead to mass panic buying of ear-muffs.

They're not playing, they're just tuning up.

I heard the CIA has given up on waterboarding and has turned to two Banjo players as it proves to be more effective.
