Congrats! I was just noodling on one of those yesterday in a local shop. They’re great guitars! Really big sounding for their size.

Congratulations on that Larrivee. As others have said, their 40 series guitars are really nice sounding and playing instruments. Enjoy it for a long time.

OP here ...

Appreciate all the comments about my new Larrivee OM-40R. Awesome guitar for sure! After playing it quite a bit (for 1 day) I love everything about it, but am still trying to adjust to the feel of the flatter fretboard. Thinking about changing the strings from John Pearse 600L to DR Sunbeams or Elixir PN Nanoweb 11's to improve playability for me. I'm primarily a strummer and play a lot of oldies and R&B songs. Bought it from Shoreline so it has a great set-up already. Thoughts ? THANKS!

Congrats.
I’m loving mine also. I had Shoreline set mine up with JP New Meduims.
I then threw on some JP Lights and it plays easy and is loud.
Enjoy.

Congratulations on your beautiful guitar. I ordered a OM-40R 2 months ago and still have an agonizing 4 months to go. Enjoy it.

I've tried the OM-40 in both mahogany and rosewood. These are great guitars at any price, but for the price - Wow! I'd have one if I had any room left on my guitar wall. Congrats!

Why do you have to wait so long? Aren't these readily in stock on a regular basis at most Larrivee dealers?

Beautiful! I am considering a custom D40R. Enjoy your OM.

My local store, Bucks County Folk Music in New Britain, PA has a good selection of Larrivee's but, I custom ordered moon spruce top and abalone rosette. In for a penny, in for a pound.

I'm with you, K&G. I like the Sitka top on my SD40M, but if I order the D40R, it'll have an Alpine "moon spruce" top with a large sound hole and a 1 3/4" nut.
